Gastritis: Symptoms and Treatment – Women Tips
It begins as a mild heartburn, discomfort and that the feeling of fullness after meals, even eating little. When the problem becomes frequent and burning in the stomach does not pass, it's time to seek medical advice: it may be gastritis.
The gastritis is acute or chronic inflammation of mucosal tissue lining the internal walls of the stomach. It can be caused by various causes, from stress, excessive stomach acid, excessive alcohol consumption, prolonged use of aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Eating habits can also encourage the emergence of gastritis. Among them, eat sweets and spicy food.
There is also the autoimmune gastritis, which occurs when the immune system produces antibodies that attack the body itself.

Symptoms of gastritis

In the case of gastritis caused by Helicobacter pylorii, treatment is done with drugs that fight the bacteria. For other types of gastritis, oral medications are used, which act as blocking the production of gastric acid and to accelerate the gastric emptying to relieve heartburn.
In addition to drugs, it is important that the treatment of gastritis include a healthy and balanced diet. Give preference for fruit, vegetables and lean meats. Respect the schedules of main meals, take small meals at intervals and chew well the food.
To avoid burning in the stomach, avoid fatty foods such as fried foods and mayonnaise, foods with lots of seasoning (especially pepper), coffee, chocolate, alcohol and acidic fruits.
