The makeup is a great ally of women on a daily basis and on special occasions. With the evolution of the cosmetics market and the democratization of makeup, constantly there are new techniques and products to highlight or hide some specific parts of the face.

One of these new techniques is called Strobing, and according to makeup artist Duda Molinos, the technique is to illuminate the convex parts of the face. Thus, the illuminators are essential products for the application of this technique.

The Strobing is commonly confused with the technique that is called "contour", which was popularized by celebrity Kim Kardashian. The focus of the contour is the application of products such as corrective or bases with shades darker than the skin on the face specific angles. This application has the function to sharpen or enhance some parts of the face.

Duda Molinos adds that the two techniques are complementary and explains: "Bearing in mind that clear and bright colors approach and increase, and dark colors diminish and away with this basic principle of light and dark realize that the contours will work best in the concave parts of the face".

How to strobing step by step

The Strobing is a more affordable technique in relation to the outline, it is easier to apply it and requires less product. As the illuminator the protagonist of this technique, Duda alert it to be used sparingly, so there is no concentration and excess shine. The makeup artist also indicates the parts to be lit: "High apple, center of the forehead, the chin point and the front base of the nose."
