Here at Emm-a-man, we are always happy to support our local talents in fashion especially in menswear design as here in Malaysia the options are still very limited. There are some very good menswear designers out there but they are mostly overshadowed by womenswear designers.

One of them is Azmeer Zaharin of Azmeer Versatile. This talented man started his own company back  in 2008 called AZ Image Services. He has ever since became well known for the exuberant fabric colors he uses in his ready-to-wear collections and line of custom suits. Tagged as one of Kuala Lumpur’s freshest creative fashion forces, this Malay born male began his career as a tailor but began showing his wares in runway collections in early 2008.

Azmeer soon began making clothes for himself. “There were always sewing machines around the house although I never went near them,” he told Azuadi ( his little brother), recalling his childhood. He was surprised by the reaction his self-made gear elicited. “What stunned me was, when I wore them, people actually wanted to buy them.”

Soon Azmeer excelled in MARA and he began working out of a studio in a leading Malaysian mens designer called Spark Manshop, Summermens, Wardrobe, Bon Zainal and a few menswear designer labels all around Malaysia.

Currently, Azmeer is favoring the local entertainment industry through his own label called AZMEER VERSATILE, celebrities like Jamal Abdillah (king of pop singer), Ikhwan (Hot FM DJ), Bob (AF 2), Hujan and Bunkface (indie band), Jinbara (rock band) and a few corporate wares for TV commercials and stations.

With his long list of local celebrity clientele, things are looking good for Azmeer and with that amount of talent, we never know who his future client would be. Daniel Craig perhaps?
