People have been giving Kanye West a hard time after photos of him wearing a Givenchy leather kilt-pants combo surfaced on the internet. He was wearing it for his Watch The Throne Tour with Jay-Z. Why is it even such a big deal? Is it really the kilt or  it’s more about Kanye?

The press hasn’t particularly been kind towards West since he started dating Kim Kardashian. The couple has been the subject of ridicule all over the Tinseltown. One particular event is when Kim K was denied entry to The MET Gala by Anna Wintour. That was embarrassing especially for West who thought Kim was supposed to be his plus-one that night.

Now let’s talk about this Givenchy kilt. We actually have no issue with it. It’s not girlish and not in any way does it compromise his sexuality. It’s from the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection and made out of black leather, which is again, not girlish at all.

According to That’s Really Week, perhaps Americans are a bit too conservative unlike Europeans who are more open to the ideas of men wearing kilts or even high-heels!
