Menswear Fashion Week for Fall 2013 is officially over. We have talked about it and we have decided what to love what to not love as well as what to wear and what to skip for the season of fall this year. But amidst all that, the accessories have to be among the most debatable thing about fashion weeks especially for menswear when the options are quite limited. A wrong step in the shoe and bag department will lead to questions about our sexuality. And it is true when women said that men are not that good with questionable stuff like that.
So with that in mind, we decided to bring you our pick of accessories from Fall 2013 Menswear Fashion Week. None of those questionable stuff but just enough to get the conversation going.
Leopard-print shades at Burberry
We totally get it. Burberry is all about going back to basics and animal prints for Fall 2013 but we didn’t expect to see these leopard print shades! This is definitely out of the comfort zone but at the same time it is fun and youthful. Put these shades on for times when you needed a little bit of something-something added to you outfit. Just get hold of these before Kanye West does!
Leather document bag Missoni
It’s simple with just the right amount of flair thrown into the mix. The buckle closing looks like a lot of hassle but this bag comes in just the right size for office and whatever occasions in between. Your iPad can fit perfectly inside this bag. That is for sure.
Men’s clutch at Jil Sander
Some men magazines refer to it as ‘portfolio’ or ‘document holder’ but let’s just face it. It is a clutch! Let us all stop being in denial. This one by Jil Sander has just the right amount of fashion thrown into. It is not heavily printed or embellished. It is minimalist and hold all of your modern gentleman’s necessities like an iPhone, keys and wallet.
Geometrical color-block tote at Iceberg
Never be afraid of colors. Be a man and take a chance with this color-burst for a bag this year. Make sure the rest of the outfit doesn’t exactly follow the same idea of color-mayhem. Our advice is to have fun with this one. Don’t take it too seriously like those hipsters wannabes that thought it is important to coordinate everything to either animal print and black simply because they are wearing a pair of a black skinny jeans or a leopard print Vans.
Boho-inspired carryall at Etro
We haven’t seen bohemian sensibility being done right for quite sometimes on the runways. Etro brought back the same level of boho-chic we witnessed at Gucci back in Fall 2008 and this bag pretty much sums up everything about the collection.
Wide-brimmed hat at Costume National
Well if you are one of those who have been keeping very close eyes on fashion and what is happening in it, this hat might look very familiar. Almost similar to those seen on the runway of Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane (very contoversial designer), this one right here is the male reincarnation of those hats. It gives away a slight boho-vibe but as seen at Costume National, this hat was styled to look more James Bond than Johnny Depp.
Half a shades at Prada
We love a great pair of sunglasses. Can’t leave home without them. Miuccia Prada decided to take things to the next level by cutting them in half. They look really interesting. Just make sure you don’t slash the skin under your eyes wearing these. Okay, we are kidding!
Now that you have all the conversation pieces from Fall 2013, it is time to hit the scene and let people start talking!
